Kuwaiti Passport Slips Two Places To 55th In The World

 The Kuwaiti passport fell two places to 55th in the world, out of 107 countries’ passports in 2021, compared to the 53rd place last year, according to the Henley Index, which ranks world passports based on the freedom of citizens of each country to travel and move between countries without a visa, or get the visa on arrival.

According to the classification, the Kuwaiti passport allows citizens to enter 96 countries, while the UAE advanced from the 18th position in the world in 2020 to the 16th place this year with the possibility of its citizens entering 173 countries, to top the Arab and Gulf countries. Qatar also advanced in the ranking from 56th last year to 54th this year, with possibility of travel to 95 destinations.

Bahrain fell from 61st place last year to 64th this year with 83 available destinations, and Oman fell from 62nd to 65th with 80 available destinations, and Saudi Arabia came last in the Gulf to 66th globally with 79 available destinations, down from 64th last year. In the Arab world, Tunisia ranked 74th with 71 destinations available, Morocco ranked 79th with 64 destinations available, Jordan ranked 92nd with 51 available destinations, Egypt ranked 93rd with 50 available destinations, Lebanon 102 with 40 destinations, Libya 104 with 38 destinations, Yemen and Somalia ranked 106 with 33 destinations, Syria in the 108th place with 29 available destinations, and Iraq the 109 with 28 available destinations.
