Kuwaiti Passport Falls To 57th Position In World

Kuwait’s passport has fallen to 57th position in the world and second on the global index of Henley, where it can travel to 91 destinations without a visa, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Henley index measures how strong a passport is, based on the number of destinations that its holder is allowed to access without the need to obtain a visa prior to travel based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The UAE passport tops the Gulf countries and 20th in the world, where citizens can travel to 167 destinations. The Bahraini passport came in the 65th place in the world, where the holder is allowed to go to 80 destinations. The Omani passport is ranked 67th in the world with 77 destinations and the Saudi passport is ranked 72nd in the world. Japan and Singapore were the world’s most powerful travelers with 189 countries, while Finland, Germany and South Korea were second with 187 destinations, followed by Denmark, Italy and Luxembourg in third place with 186 destinations.
