Kuwaiti Coastguards Have Arrested Two Kuwaitis And An Arab For Trafficking In Drugs

The Kuwaiti coastguards have arrested two Kuwaitis and an Arab for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after the Investigations Department the Coastguard received a tip-off that ‘someone’ will be attempting to recover drugs from the depth of the sea inside Kuwait’s territorial waters. Acting on this information, the area was put under surveillance and the three men were caught in the act after they had fished out of the waters 45 kilos of hashish. During interrogation the men admitted to the charge and said the main trader was an Iranian with whom they shared the spoils. The contraband and the suspects have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
