Kuwaiti Cabinet Voiced Satisfaction With Findings Of Recent Interpellations Against Pm
The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Monday voiced satisfaction with the findings of recent interpellations against His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
During the recent parliamentary session on the grilling, the National Assembly showed eagerness to have constructive cooperation with His Highness the Prime Minister, the Cabinet said in a statement following its routine weekly meeting held at Bayan Palace.
The Cabinet hoped that the latest development could indicate a fresh stage of cooperation between both government and parliament in order to address development challenges and to fulfill the hopes of citizens in various domains, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al- Sabah said in a press statement following the meeting.
It emphasized that legislativeexecutive cooperation would undoubtedly act as a catalyst for more achievements in the country, said Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, who doubles as acting Minister of Information.
Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Service Affairs Yasser Abul expressed thanks and gratitude to members of parliament for the democratic atmosphere during the interpellation filed against him. He vowed at the Cabinet’s customary meeting that he would do his utmost to serve the nation, and appreciated his colleagues’ backing during the parliamentary session. Also during today’s meeting, the ministers remembered the great deeds and sacrifices of the late Father Amir Sheikh Saad Al- Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as well as his role in the liberation of Kuwait from Iraqi invasion.
Afterwards, Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of the recent visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the State of Kuwait and his talks with His Highness the Amir on bilateral relations and ways of further promoting and developing them in all fields.
Internationally, the Kuwaiti Cabinet congratulated South Korean’s President-elect Moon Jae- In, wishing him best of luck and a further development of bilateral relations. It finally condemned a recent shooting in Al-Qatif in Saudi Arabia, which left scores of people dead or wounded. The Cabinet emphasized that Kuwait stands side by side with Saudi Arabia and supports all measures it is taking to maintain its security and stability.
