Kuwaiti Businesswoman Says Online Shopping Up By 59 Percent In Me

Online shopping in the Middle East went up by 59 percent according to recent international studies, said a Kuwaiti businesswoman Thursday.

Electronic shopping specialist and owner of the (koot.com) website, Luma Bourisly told KUNA that international reports by the likes of (e-Marketer), a US independent research company, revealed the number of Middle East online shoppers have increased to around 20 million users.

She added that the value for online shopping in the region was at USD 4.9 billion, adding that the number is expected to reach USD 10 billion by 2018. The growth of the e-market in the Middle East will benefit the consumers because of the competitive prices and the easy access to online outlets through computers and smartphones, said Bourisly. The Kuwaiti businesswoman encouraged Arab ladies to take a chance and venture into this line of business to discover their endless potential.
