26 January 2022 Crime News

A court in the Kingdom of Morocco on Wednesday will look into the case that Attorney Ali Al-Kandari filed against two Moroccans who allegedly blackmailed and threatened a Kuwaiti through social media and illegally received money from him, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Al-Kandari disclosed the accused took pictures from the Instagram and other social media accounts of his client. He said the accused photoshopped the pictures and then used them to blackmail his client, threatening him to upload his pictures on various social networking sites if he does not give them KD1,000.

He added: “On the same day, my client received a video clip showing him in obscene positions. The two perpetrators then blackmailed and threatened him that they will publish the video on social media unless he pays them KD1,000 through a money transfer agency in exchange for deleting the clip. However, they later demanded for KD400 more and they kept on threatening him through WhatsApp, up to the extent of demanding for additional KD200.”
