Kuwaiti Acquitted Of Forging School Certificate Issued From Saudi Arabia

21 December 2016 Crime News

The Court of Appeals has acquitted a Kuwaiti citizen, who was accused of forging his high school certificate issued from Saudi Arabia, and it ruled that the certificates are valid. The Public Prosecution had accused the citizen of forging his high school certificate after a letter was sent by the Saudi Embassy to Ministry of Education and Higher in which the presence of fake certificates allegedly issued from Saudi Arabia was indicated.

The letter is reported to have had a list of suspected students and these students were demanded to submit their certificates for evaluation.

However, during the court session, the defense counsel Lawyer Abdulrahman Al-Watari explained the circumstances and conditions relevant to the lawsuit, claiming that there is no basis and proof to support the allegation, which was just based on a letter, but proper procedures to reach to the conclusion of condemning these citizens were not followed. He said it is strange that his client’s first and second high-school certificates were considered as fake but the final year certificate was proven to genuine, stressing that this does not make sense at all.
