Kuwait Reiterates Solidarity With Ankara

17 July 2016 Kuwait

Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah renewed Sunday Kuwait's stand in solidarity with the Turkish Government, in aftermath of the futile bid to bring it down.

The Acting premier Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled renewed Kuwait's supportive stance on Ankara's side during a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait Murad Tameer, where he hailed the Kuwaiti-Turkish relations and affirmed Kuwait's backing for all decisions made by Ankara to enhance stability and protect all of its legitimate institutions in the country.

The ambassador handed Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled a letter from the Turkish Prime Minister, addressed to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah concerning bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, and also discussing issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Dr. Rashed Al-Adwani and a number of the ministry's officials.
