Kuwait Plan To Open Two More Centers For Vaccination

With the arrival of 200,000 doses of the "Oxford-AstraZenica" vaccine from India, Kuwait is planning to open two additional vaccination centers in the north and south of the country.

This is to relieve pressure on the Kuwait Vaccination Center at Mishref exhibition ground, which is the only place for vaccination at present, local reports says. The option of using other centers for vaccination is still under study.

Quoting sources, local reports indicated that the Ministry will start send text messages to the largest possible number of citizens and residents from Tuesday to accelerate the pace of vaccination.

Kuwait on Monday received the first consignment of 200,000 doses of "Covishield" - Oxford–AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured at the Serum Institute of India, which is sufficient for vaccinating 100,000 population.
