Kuwait is close to dispensing 1 million doses of vaccine against coronavirus in the next few days, the rapid speed of vaccination may lead to positive decisions after Eid, Al-Rai reported.

Informed sources told the daily that important decisions are likely to be issued soon. However, they did not disclose their nature or features, saying only that they are positive decisions that will constitute a shift in the face of the pandemic and the start of a gradual return to normal life.

Regarding the indicators of the epidemiological situation, the numbers showed, according to the sources, that the governorates of Hawalli, Al-Ahmadi, and Al-Farawaniyah are the highest recorded cases of infection, pointing to the need to take into account the population density, compared to the governorates of Jahra and the capital.

In a related context, Dr. Khaled Al-Jarallah, Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Committee for Coronavirus, announced that infection in investment housing areas continues to rise, pointing out that injuries and hospital admission are higher among expatriates than citizens.

Noting the effectiveness of vaccination in reducing hospital admissions, critical cases, and deaths, Al-Jarallah stressed the rise in hospitalizations and critical cases among unvaccinated citizens and expatriates.
