Kuwait Municipality Allows Home Delivery Of Groceries

11 May 2020 Kuwait

Kuwait Municipality announced on Monday that grocery stores are permitted to deliver foodstuffs and other commodities to nearby residents during the full curfew enacted yesterday afternoon.

The permission is based on a decision by the cabinet in this regard, the municipality said in a statement on Monday.

No vehicle can be used in the home delivery of groceries, it said, noting that the grocery stores are not allowed to receive shoppers.

It affirmed that only the grocery stores located in investment areas could benefit from the decision and deliver items to consumers during the morning shift (from 8:00 am. to 4:00 pm) and the night shift (from 8:00 pm. to 1:30 am.)

The municipality highlighted the need of continued commitment by the grocery workers to the public health regulations, including putting on facemask and gloves.

It noted that it welcomes complaints or inquiries via the WhatsApp No. 65965744.
