Kuwait May Receive More Rainfall Than Usual In November

05 October 2023 Weather in Kuwait

According to Fahd Al-Otaibi, during the transitional period between summer and winter, the country will receive rainfall within or slightly above its normal rate, and the maximum temperature is likely to fall below 40 degrees Celsius by the middle of this month.

According to Al-Otaibi, "according to medium-term expectations, the country will experience heavy rains during the transitional period in comparison with last season."

Light rain, medium rain, and heavy rain can all be classified based on the amount of rainfall that falls within an hour. For example, "if the rainfall reaches 10 mm per hour, it can be classified as heavy rain."

According to him, “the accumulation of water due to rain expected to fall at the end of this month or the beginning of next November depends on the readiness of rainwater drainage networks for the quantities recorded by rain measuring stations.” He explained that a rainfall of 25 millimeters or more indicates that many areas will accumulate water.

According to meteorologist Issa Ramadan, tomorrow marks the start of the Surfah horoscope, which marks Kuwait's official end of summer, beginning of autumn, and the beginning of the end of the heat. During the coming days, maximum temperatures in Kuwait will drop below 40 degrees Celsius during the day, and they will drop to 30 degrees Celsius at night and to 22 degrees Celsius by dawn.

It is during this period that air depressions begin to move, clouds appear, and the first signs appear after the 15th of the month.

As a result of the global El Nino phenomenon (an irregular change in winds and temperatures in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean), Ramadan warned of heavy rainfall in November.
