Kuwait Lists 59 New Covid-19 Cases, Two Deaths

Kuwait’s daily coronavirus cases rose by 59 to 410,901 as deaths increased by two to 2,434, the health ministry said on Tuesday.

Another 134 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 406,396, according to ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad in a statement.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus at COVID-19 wards is 84, with 28 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that another 1,071 are receiving regular treatment.

Some 14,745 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 3,973,798, mentioned the official.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
