Kuwait Is Still Better Than Its Peers In The Region - Al-ghanim

Board Chairman of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Ali Mohammad Thunyan Al-Ghanim affirmed that Kuwait was affected by the situation experienced in all countries around the world especially in the region in the recent years, but the economic situation in Kuwait is still better than its peers in the region, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Ghanim disclosed this to the daily recently on the sidelines of an event organized by Ali Al-Ghanim and Sons Automobile Company for inauguration of “Gelly” Warehouse in Rai, Shuwaikh Industrial Area. He said Kuwait has been topping the global economic indicators to reflect relatively higher economic situation compared to its peers, citing some of the indicators as the ease of doing business released by the World Bank, ease of business transaction and administration.

Al-Ghanim expressed delight over the change in the government’s method of dealing with the private sector, which has manifested in the rate of cooperation between both sectors lately, affirming that this amounts to ensuring effective contributions of the private sector to domestic economy and diversification of resources away from almost total reliance on oil.

He indicated that this direction is possible due to the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad tagged “New Kuwait 2035” which is about focusing on the youth by creating job opportunities for them in future
