Kuwait Has No Cases Of Acute Hepatitis - Moh

30 April 2022 Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health stated that its specialized teams have continued to monitor local and worldwide health situations, stating that Covid instances should not be confused with other illnesses, such as acute hepatitis, which has not been reported in Kuwait.

The Ministry of Health stated in a statement on Thursday that abdominal discomfort, jaundice, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, exhaustion, and pain in muscles and other organs are all symptoms of acute viral hepatitis, which affects youngsters.

In late March 2022, the first case was reported in Scotland. Up to 170 instances were recorded in 12 countries, including the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Spain, Denmark, Romania, Holland, the United States, Belgium, Italy, and France.

The children in these instances ranged in age from one month to sixteen years, according to the Ministry of Health, which added that the investigation into the outbreak's sources was still ongoing.

Certain preliminary evidence suggests a relationship between some hepatitis cases and covid cases, as well as the virus Adenovirus. -KUNA
