Kuwait Halts Students Enrolment At Malaysian Universities

26 December 2017 Kuwait

The Kuwaiti authorities have decided to halt students’ enrolment at Malaysian universities.

The Ministry of Higher Education announced the 'temporary' measure pending a review of the Malaysian academic institution by Kuwaiti accreditation authorities.

Former Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammed Al-Fares had issued an edict halting enrollment at Malaysian universities, based on a recommendation of the accreditation and quality assurance authorities.

The temporary measure applies to all academic levels and post-graduate studies, the ministry said in a statement.

The decision does not apply to students who are currently pursuing their studies in the Malaysian universities as well as those who obtained an accredited approval from cultural office in Australia to study in Malaysia during the second term of the academic year 2017-2018.
