Egyptians Happy With Media For Exposing Visa Trading Business In Kuwait
Thousands of Egyptians reacted with happiness to the news report that was recently published that the Labor Office of their consulate has suspended the recruitment of Egyptian to work for Small and Medium Enterprise SME projects, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The Egyptians have circulated the news through social media asserting that they have become victims of visa traders and that they still suffer from employment problems caused by recruitment for SMEs and blamed the Public Authority of Manpower for turning a blind eye to their cause.
Some Egyptian workers told the daily the decision taken by their consulate is positive and pointed to the refusal of some sponsors to complete their residence permit transactions.
To add insult to injury the PAM has issued instructions not to transfer their residence permits to other SME projects.
Meanwhile, a group of entrepreneurs interacted with the decision of the Egyptian consulate. Their spokesman, Engineer Saeed Al-Manea, called this step ‘understandable and valued’, but this cannot be done in this way, but through communication with the PAM, to preserve the rights of employees, and pointed to the existence of contracts binding all parties that determine the rights and duties. He added: “We hope the competent authorities will resort to the law and oblige the parties, employer and worker to abide by the work contract.”
