Kuwait Confirms 4,517 Covid-19 Cases, Single Death

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health announced Saturday that 4,517 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed over the past 24 hours, pushing the country’s total infections since the outbreak of the pandemic to 460,828. Some 1,785 patients recovered from the virus in the same period, bringing the total recoveries to 419,199, the Ministry’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.

A single death due to the virus was confirmed in the same period, taking the country’s death toll to 2,475, he said.
The number of ICUs cases hit 26, while there are 39,154 others being treated at home, in addition to 254 patients at Covid-19 wards, Dr. Al-Sanad added.
Up to 31,944 medical swabs were conducted over the last 24 hours, raising the total tests to 6,414,145, he said, noting that the infections-to-swabs ratio hit 14.14 percent.
