Kuwait Condemns Attack On Saudis
Kuwait on Saturday denounced the drone attack targeted Shaybah Oil Field in the southeast of Saudi Arabia, causing minor damages.
This action aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of the Kingdom and the global energy supply, and requires an international effort to avoid crises and conflicts, and more tension in the region, said an official source in Kuwait Foreign Ministry in a statement.
The source affirmed Kuwait’s full support to Saudi Arabia and to all measures taken to maintain its security and stability. Secretary-General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr Abdullatif Al-Zayani strongly condemned on Sunday the terrorist drone attack, carried out recently by Houthi militia on the Shaybah Oil Field.
The nonstop Houthi attacks targeting oil facilities in the Kingdom reveal their malicious goals in endangering global energy supplies, Dr Al-Zayani said in a press statement.
He called on the international community to condemn these attacks and take strong measures to stop them. Al-Zayani described the attack on the field as a cowardly terrorist act that threatens security and stability in the region.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) condemned on Sunday the drones’ terrorist attack on a natural gas plant in Saudi Arabia’s Shaybah Oil Field. Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation strongly condemned, in a press statement, the terrorist act, which aimed to destabilize security and stability in the Kingdom and posed a grave threat to the world’s energy supply. The UAE reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supported all measures taken by Riyadh to protect its security and stability against extremism and terrorism.
It stressed that any threat or danger that faces the Kingdom is considered a threat to security and stability in the UAE as well. Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mishaal Al-Salami strongly condemned, Sunday, the attack.
The targeting of critical facilities in Saudi Arabia threatens the world’s energy supplies and global economy, Al-Salami said in a statement. He stressed that the international community needs to shoulder responsibilities when it came to facing the Houthi terrorist group and its supporters, stopping these repeated attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region.
Al-Salami also reiterated the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all the measures taken to protect land and people. Egypt strongly condemned on Sunday the terrorist drone attack, carried out by the Houthi militia.
Cairo reiterated full solidarity with the Kingdom’s government and people, affirming support of all measures and procedures taken by Saudi authorities to secure the country’s security and stability, Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. It also warned of targeting Saudi vital facilities, as well as intention to threaten safety of the Kingdom’s energy infrastructure.
