Kuwait Amir Expresses Condolences Over Victims Of Helicopter Crash In India

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Thursday a cable to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, expressing condolences over the victims of a helicopter crash in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.

In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished a swift recovery for the only injured survivor. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed the State of Kuwait's condolences and solidarity with the friendly Republic of India over the incident, which claimed the lives of many members of the armed forces, including the Army's Chief of General Staff.

An Indian Air Force helicopter with the Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat on board crashed on Wednesday near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. Thirteen of the fourteen personnel, including Gen Bipin Rawat, have lost their life in the incident.
