Kuwait Airways To Hire Over 200 Filipino Workers

Kuwait Airways, the national flag carrier of Kuwait is embarking on some expansion and will be needing over 200 Filipino workers to form its additional manpower, hence, the Kuwait Airways Recruitment Team is heading to Manila this week to interview prospective applicants from Nov 4-10, 2016.

“At the moment, Kuwait Airways is undergoing a huge transformation where we will really change the map of the airline in the region. We will focus on both ground handling staff, engineering staff, dispatchers and security as well,” disclosed Kuwait Airways Human Resources Director Khaled Almuaili to the Arab Times.

Currently, there are more than 200 Filipinos working at Kuwait Airways including cabin crew. “We want to target the Philippines because of the education background, the language and the customer experience. The Filipinos, they have a different kind of touch in relation [to others] and to give the customer experience to the employees in all terms,” cited Almuaili.

Kuwait Airways will be hiring traffic officers, transit officers, guest services officers, lost and found officers, baggage sorters, porters, equipment operators, tarmac officer/ramp officers, weight and balance officers/load control staff, cargo officers, ground equipment mechanic, ground equipment electrician and hydraulic mechanic. Aside from the attractive salary package, those will be hired will have free accommodation, transportation, food allowance and free tickets to the Philippines upon completion of their two-year contract.

“This is a very good opportunity for all our compatriots in the Philippines who want to work abroad especially here in Kuwait. Kuwait Airways is in need of 250 Overseas Filipino Workers and its legitimate Philippine Recruitment Agency is Yaazeemir International Manpower Agency.

We hope that we can fill in the 250 slots in the job order approved by the Philippine Overseas Labour Office here in Kuwait and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration in Manila,” stated Assistant Labour Attache Angelita Narvaez, Officer-in-Charge at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Kuwait.

Kuwait Airways is also continuously hiring security guards from the Philippines.

“As the organisation is getting bigger, we have more fleets, we require more manpower. We recruited last year and this year as well and we’re looking to recruiting the following year,” pointed out Kuwait Airways Manager of Security-Outstations Group Nawaf A. Hakam.
