Kuwait Airport Baggage Handlers Have Stopped Work - Not Paid Salaries

19 January 2020 Kuwait

The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has denied the news report which says the baggage handlers at the Kuwaiti airports have stopped work because they have not been paid their salaries for several months, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Deputy Director-General for the Kuwait International Airport Affairs and the Director of Engineering Department and head of the operating team of the T4 passenger terminal Saleh Al-Fadaghi said what has been published in the social media that the baggage handlers have gone on strike and that this caused delays in passengers getting their baggage is totally incorrect.

The senior official said, the Civil Aviation Administration is keen to ensure the workers are paid their salaries on the specified dates without delay by the company operating the airports.

In a special statement to Al-Anba, Al-Fadaghi called for checking the accuracy and verifying the information with the reliable sources before publishing it.
