A Recent Statistics Showed ‘women’s Dominance’ Of Jobs At The Ku
A recent statistics showed ‘women’s dominance’ of jobs at the Kuwait University, with 62.3% of the total number of 5,239 employees at the university, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The statistics issued by the Planning Sector at the Kuwait University, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, revealed for the academic year 2018/2017 the percentage of expatriate staff working in different faculties and sectors of the university was 34%, of 1,797 employees – 1,161 male and 636 females.
The source pointed out most of the expatriate staff at the university is concentrated in its faculties, with 1,021 employees, including 581 males and 440 females.
The General Secretariat sector has 364 employees: 318 males and 46 females. The source said the Vice-Rector’s sections of the General Secretariat employ 307 expatriate staff: 193 male and 114 female, followed by the Rector sector with 105 expatriates; 69 males and 36 females.
The statistics indicated that the number of Kuwaitis employed in all faculties and sectors of the university is 3,442 employees of 66%; 2,632 male, compared with 810 female employees.
Most Kuwaitis of both sexes work in faculties with 2,037 employees, 556 Kuwaitis in the Vice-Rector’s office, then the General Secretariat 534 Kuwaitis, and the University Management 315 Kuwaitis.
