Krcs Continues To Distribute Aid To Affected Families In Lebanon
The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society continued its relief efforts today, Tuesday, by distributing 500 food baskets to families affected by the Beirut port explosion, According to alqabas ,in addition to distributing medical equipment to hospitals. The head of the Crescent mission to Lebanon, Dr. Musaed Al-Anzi, told Kuwait News Agency that this aid is an attempt to reduce the extent of damage to families, so we were keen to distribute it directly hand in hand.
And he considered that providing hospitals with medical equipment and devices would help them lift part of the damage that was caused to them and enable them to continue serving the citizens medically as possible. He referred to the association’s cooperation through its field team, which has attended in Beirut since the first days, with the Lebanese Red Cross and in coordination with the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon.
A number of Lebanese families expressed their thanks to Kuwait and its people for the prompt response to relief, noting the importance of distributing aid directly to those who were affected by the blast damage. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society had provided medical equipment and health materials to five damaged hospitals, namely St. George, the Greek Orthodox, the Lebanese Geitawi, the Wardia, Karantina and Al-Maqasid, to enable them to continue their medical services.
