Kotc Secures 5 Million Plastic Caps For Filled Gas Cylinders

Out of its keenness on the quality and safety of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders and ensuring their compliance with all approved international requirements and standards, the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) announced in a press release it has secured 5 million plastic covers for filled gas cylinders, to cover the company’s needs for three months.

Al-Rai quoting company sources said it had also floated a tender for the supply of plastic covers for gas cylinders, and a contract will be signed with the bid winning company within the next ten days to manufacture 101 million plastic covers to be received after two months.

The company also clarified it had stopped putting plastic covers on gas cylinders in the past period due to periodic maintenance of the devices and equipment of liquefied gas factories, stressing that not putting the covers does not lack any form of safety and quality of gas cylinders.
