Knpc And Koc To Extend 2 Contracts For 6 Months

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) decided to extend two contracts for six months at a total value of more than KD60 million until the release of new tenders in relation to these contracts, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.

Sources confirmed the two companies have obtained approval from the Central Agency for Public Tenders to extend for six months their contract with Arabi Energy Company, valued at KD3.9 million, for mechanic maintenance and liquid gas production units in Ahmadi Mina Refinery starting from Jan 1, 2020.

Sources added KOC extended for six months its contract with Al- Wazzan Trading Company, valued at KD2 million, for feeding services starting from Aug 9, 2019.

Meanwhile, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipality Affairs Fahad Al-Shualah has affirmed that the Cabinet did not issue a final decision to acquire Failaka houses and Kuwait Municipality did not address the Expropriation of Public Welfare Department in this regard, reports Al-Rai daily. On the other hand, Al-Shua’la issued a ministerial circular not to submit applications or transactions related to the allocation of land for schools and private universities if there is no official letter signed by Minister of Education and Higher Education Hamed Al-Azmi
