Kd 1800 Swindled

Two Kuwaiti citizens were swindled of KD 1,800 each by a compatriot under the pretext of providing them admissions in an Egyptian university, and the latter used that money to travel to Europe.

The two citizens wanted to register in one of the universities in Egypt. The suspect had convinced them that he will be able to arrange admissions for them without the need for them to travel to Cairo and he asked them to pay KD 1,800 each.

After waiting a long time for news from the suspect, they tried to contact him but discovered that he was in Europe on a holiday. They also discovered that the deadline for registration in the university had passed and the registration fee was not more than KD 150. They filed a case against the suspect at Fahaheel Police Station. Securitymen are waiting for the suspect to return from Europe in order to arrest him.
