Kac And Boeing Signed An Agreement Aiming To Promote Cooperation And Achieve Benefits

Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC), the official national carrier, and Boeing signed on Thursday an agreement aiming to promote cooperation and achieve benefits for the two sides.

The agreement includes several aspects of mutual coordination and action, and to serve interests of the both sides, the KAC said in a press release.

The deal was signed by KAC’s Board Chairman Yousef Al-Jassim and Boeing International President Marc Allen, in the presence of US Ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Silverman and head of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey Bernie Dunn. Boeing company works with KAC, Australian College of Kuwait and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) in order to provide the best ways to help materialize Kuwait’s 2035 vision through investment in the aviation sector.

The KAC had signed a deal with Boeing to buy 10 wide body 777-300ER passenger aircraft, in implementation of its five-year plan announced in 2016. The Kuwaiti government acquired all stakes of the KAC in 1962. The national carrier was established in 1953.
