Judge Refuses To Release On Bail Daughter’s ‘killer’

For the third time in a row, the Sentences Renewal Judge ordered the continued detention of the woman who is accused of killing her daughter in Salmiya.

According to case papers the victim’s decomposed body was found in the bathroom of the apartment where the family lived five years after the daughter was ‘allegedly’ murdered, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The mother who stands guilty continued to deny the accusations that she premeditatedly murdered her daughter. She justified her act of holding the daughter against her will to prevent her from going out for her own safety and as a kind of lesson for her to educate her but was surprised by her death and did not tell anyone for fear of being accused of murder and going to prison.

The case is expected to be referred to the Criminal Court where the accused will be confronted with facts and charges filed against her after hearing the testimonies of witnesses and the Forensic report.
