Joint Efforts Needed To Fight Drugs Spread Among Youths
Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Khalid Al- Dayeen affirmed the importance of exerting efforts to ban the spread of drugs and brain stimulants in the country and protect youths from such dangerous substances. He said this during the inauguration of an exhibition held to mark the World Anti-Drug Day and the national campaign for controlling drugs.
Major General Al-Dayeen revealed that the aim of the exhibition is to control this problem which threatens the security of the country especially the real state treasure that are the young generations. He stressed the need to combine efforts for banning this phenomenon, which is considered as an enemy moving within the society, and to stand as a strong fortress against any attempts to attack the youth of the country through the spread of drugs.
Major General Al-Dayeen affirmed the need to benefit from the experiences of other countries and societies in this regard, and abide by the international agreements and standards including of the UN office concerned with fighting drugs and crimes. He said it is important to approach this matter from a technical perspective, and invest in conducting researches and studies in this regard. Major General Al-Dayeen appreciated the support of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah and guidance of Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Essam Al-Naham to confront this disease and treat its ill effects on aspects related to security, social and economy of this country.
