Jazeera Airways New Destinations Around The World

Jazeera Airways has launched flights to 9 new destinations since the beginning of this year, in addition to the summer season schedule, which includes some of the most sought-after destinations by travelers in Kuwait and the Middle East, with the advancement of vaccination rates around the world, and the easing of travel restrictions so that tourism gradually returns this the summer.

The company’s CEO, Rohit Ramachandran, said that Jazeera Airways is focusing on expanding to previously unserved destinations from the Middle East, or enjoying a high demand from tourists to spend their summer vacation, noting that some of these destinations connect the segment of residents in the region with their country.

Ramachandran added, “With the increase in the number of immunized people in Kuwait and the world, countries have begun to open their borders to gradually return to travel, starting from this summer.”

He added that at Jazeera Airways, all pilots and cabin crew have been fully immunized since April, at a time when the company continues to adhere to health and safety procedures across all its facilities and operations to assure customers that they are traveling safely with it.

Fly to Heathrow

Jazeera Airways began operating its first direct flight to London Heathrow Airport on June 18, making it the first low-cost airline in the region to start operating flights to it.

This new route to Heathrow caters to high demand for flights to London, which includes demand from business travelers, Kuwaiti students and the very large segment of regular tourists looking to visit London again, many of whom own homes in the UK.

Safe destinations from “Corona”

Since the beginning of the year, Jazeera Airways has launched 6 additional destinations, some of which were not previously served by direct flights from Kuwait, in order to meet a strong demand for travel to it, while following strict health and safety procedures to ensure the tourism season.

In February 2021, the company started operating a new flight line to the Sri Lankan capital, providing direct flights between Kuwait and Colombo with two flights per week, in addition to connecting flights between the capital and the Middle East.

These trips serve the Sri Lankan community in Kuwait, and tourists who wish to visit this country, which has taken all precautions since the opening of its borders for tourism on January 21, in order to preserve the health and safety of travelers and tourists, which travelers must abide by and confirm before they travel for a safe travel experience.

Arrival in Bishkek and Tashkent

The launch of Colombo flights was followed by many new destinations that enable tourists to travel without quarantine upon arrival, most notably the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, which was launched in June 2021.

The launch of this line came after the success of the line that the company had launched to Osh in 2019, to meet the growing demand for travel to safe and ideal destinations for families.

Jazeera Airways celebrated the departure of its first flight to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, on June 27, which is also the first flight line to be launched between Kuwait and Uzbekistan, as it operates this new route with two flights per week.

These flights to Tashkent support the growing trade relations between the Middle East and Uzbekistan, while providing a unique tourist destination to explore, after more than a year during which travel was very limited.

With its diverse nature, rich culture, long history and great outdoor activities, Uzbekistan is the ideal destination for every traveler and backpacker looking for new places to travel.

Uzbekistan’s museums feature more than two million artifacts of historical, architectural and natural treasures, which tell stories from the country’s history and local culture. The country is also famous for its outdoor activities, such as rock climbing to explore its monuments and rich religious history.

Most Wanted for Tourism

Flights were launched to the most popular destinations for tourism, to the coastal city of Antalya in Turkey on July 2, with two flights per week to Antalya Airport (AYT) every Monday and Friday.

Antalya is the ideal destination for families to enjoy their summer vacation and travelers who are looking for new places to explore, as this distinctive city offers a wonderful haven on the Turkish turquoise coast.

Jazeera Airways launched its flights to Sarajevo on July 3, with two flights per week, as Bosnia and Herzegovina enjoys rich tourism activities, and is characterized as a unique summer destination to enjoy its outdoor activities, delicious dishes and its long history, which inspired its architecture and culture that it is known for today, at a time when the country began to restore Its reputation as an ideal winter destination for skiing at its designated resorts on the Olympic Mountains.

Fly to Yerevan

The new lines included a direct flight between Kuwait and the Armenian capital, Yerevan, on June 3, 2021, to serve the large Armenian community residing in the Middle East and provide a distinctive and unique destination for tourism.

Jazeera Airways plans to launch new flights to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, starting from July 13, provided that it obtains approvals from the relevant local authorities, and it will be scheduled for two flights per week, so that travelers will have a new destination to learn about its history, culture and treasures that Kiev and the rest of Ukraine have hidden.

Return to Beirut and other destinations

Jazeera Airways continued to launch new destinations with high demand for travelers from Kuwait and the Middle East, and returned its flights to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, from June 30, with two flights per week, every Wednesday and Saturday.

Departures from Kuwait depart at 7pm, and flights depart from Beirut at 11:10pm, so shielded travelers can enjoy an extended weekend in the Lebanese capital.

Beirut is one of the most popular summer destinations for travelers who go there for tourism or to visit family and friends, and it was one of the first destinations that Jazeera Airways operated to in 2006, at a time when the demand for it is still strong today.

In addition to the new destinations and the resumption of lines, Jazeera Airways’ summer schedule includes popular destinations such as Tbilisi in Georgia and Trabzon and Bodrum in Turkey, with 3 weekly flights to Tbilisi, as well as to the popular summer destinations Trabzon and Bodrum.

New line to Addis Ababa

To meet the demand for flights connecting destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa, and while Jazeera Airways continues to provide flights connecting various countries in its network of destinations by providing value-added options, in 2021 it launched a new route to Addis Ababa, to serve the Ethiopian expatriate segment residents in Kuwait and across the region and provides them with competitive value.

Jazeera Airways launched this route on March 16, and was the second to launch in 2021. It operates this route between Kuwait and Addis Ababa with two flights per week, and provides flights connecting with the rest of the Middle East and Asia countries.

Return flights from August 1

As of August 1, 2021, Kuwait announced a new decision allowing residents returning to it to enter it, provided that they have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved by it, and provide a certificate of that.

Jazeera Airways prepared to increase the expected number of returnees through a center dedicated to PCR tests, fully equipped and under the exclusive management of the Ministry of Health, at a time when all employees were trained to ensure that passengers comply with the instructions and regulations stipulated by Kuwait.

Since the beginning of the “Covid-19” pandemic, the company has taken all safety measures and precautions on board its aircraft and in the “Al-Jazeera T5” passenger building in Kuwait to ensure safe travel for all travelers.

These measures support the airline’s fleet of new Airbus A320neo aircraft, all equipped with globally approved HEPA air filters.

Kuwaiti citizens traveling outside Kuwait must ensure that they carry a vaccination certificate before heading to Kuwait International Airport, while travelers of all other nationalities are required to submit a vaccination certificate or a PCR examination certificate with a negative result.
