Jazeera Airways Named Low Cost Airline Of The Year - Announced New Routes To India
Jazeera Airways, a national airline of Kuwait, operating regionally and internationally, received the ‘Low Cost Airline of the Year’ Award at the annual Aviation Business Awards 2017 ceremony held in Dubai.
The latest recognition reconfirms Jazeera Airways' positioning as a low cost champion ensuring customers enjoy the very best deals and an efficient travel experience, said a statement from the Kuwaiti airline.
The leading awards program celebrates achievements and individual brands contribution to regional growth in the aerospace industry over the past 12 months and looks at differentiating factors in the industry.
In 2017, Jazeera Airways embarked on a multi-million dollar expansion plan, introducing new routes, a new brand identity, new cabin interiors, additional aircraft; and a new terminal, exclusively for its customers to be opened in Q1 2018, stated the budget carrier.
;
Reasserting its dedication to delivering great value, Jazeera Airways recently launched weekly Fantastic Friday web specials with great discounts on selected routes and in September this year, the airline ran a 100,000 ticket sale across all routes with discounts of up to 50 per cent.
After receiving the award, Jazeera Airways CEO Rohit Ramachandran said: "I accept this on behalf of our 492 committed staff who work tirelessly to deliver a great service on the ground and in the air. I also want to dedicate it to the 1.3 million passengers who flew with us over the past 12 months and have shown their preference to fly Jazeera – all we do is focused on ensuring we live up to their expectations."
"When our chairman Marwan Boodai, launched this airline 12 years ago he had a vison to revolutionise the aviation market in Kuwait and offer better choice and better fares for travelers. Today I am pleased to say we are still delivering against that mandate," he added.
Jazeera recently announced new routes to India – Hyderabad starting November 16 followed by Kochi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
