Issuance Of Some Visas Remain Suspended In Spite Of Decisions Issued Be Cabinet
The issuance of family entry visas and visit visas of all types — commercial, tourist and governmental visits — remain suspended despite the recent decisions issued by the Council of Ministers.
Security sources told Al-Qabas visit and family visits remain suspended, as is the case of children below 16 years of age and spouses except the issuance of visas for some jobs in the medical field and teaching sector.
When the Al-Qabas visited the residence affairs departments and met directors of these departments in the six governorates they learned clear and explicit instructions have been issued to be strict while issuing entry visas to expatriates, and not open the door for everyone to enter the country.
The tour showed no undocumented transactions from Kuwaiti embassies abroad will be accepted, in addition to the salary cap of minimum 500 dinars which will be applied on an expatriate when applying for the family visa; in addition to the mandatory requirement of vaccination certificate.
The directors of the departments, according to the instructions issued to them, stipulated that those wishing to bring in wives and children under 16 years of age must receive a salary of 500 dinars for family visa.
In case of visit visa this will be valid for three months only after which the sponsor (the husband) must send his wife and children back to their country.
An official source told the daily so far the residence affairs departments in the six governorates have completed about 7,000 various types of transactions — 45% of the transactions are believed to be of commercial nature.
