Issuance Of Passports And Identification With A Fingerprint
Arabic local newspaper Alanba reported that Minister of Foreign Affairs and Acting Minister of Information, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser, revealed a service project that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to add soon, which is the automation of procedures for attestation and certification of certificates.
In his response to a parliamentary question, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser said that the ministry also intends to implement a project to issue travel documents and verify identity by fingerprint, pointing to the addition of a project to convert the Ma’akum platform into a special application at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that provides electronic services for all procedures concerned with citizens. He stressed that there is also a project to automate the services provided by the administrative department in the ministry, pointing to the launch of the official website at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which includes information about Kuwait and the Ministry in addition to the sites of Kuwait’s diplomatic missions and their emergency phone numbers, as well as instructions and notifications directed to Kuwaiti citizens abroad.
With regard to the services provided by the ministry, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser said: An electronic platform “Ma’akum” was created, through which the data of all citizens and their first-degree relatives who were abroad were recorded, during the evacuation and return of citizens to the country.
