Iraqi President Barham Saleh Concludes Visit To Kuwait

Iraqi President Barham Saleh and his accompanying delegation concluded a visit to Kuwait on Monday, during which he held summit talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Saleh was seen off at the airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and senior state officials.

Meanwhile, visiting Iraqi President Barham Saleh received Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim at his place of residence in Bayan Palace on Sunday. He also received Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah.

Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan and Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah were also amongst those received by the Iraqi president.

In the meantime, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met on Sunday with visiting Iraqi President Barham Saleh and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two sides tackled bilateral relations and ways to boost them in various areas. The two also discussed current developments and issues of common concern. Later, His Highness the Prime Minister hosted a dinner banquet for the visiting delegation.
