Iraqi Expat Arrested For Attempting To Smuggle $550,000 Out Of The Country

An Iraqi expatriate was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint for attempting to smuggle $550,000 out of the country. According to sources, customs officers at Abdali border checkpoint suspected the driver of a heavy vehicle who was travelling to Iraq. They checked the heavy vehicle and found the money hidden in a professional manner. The driver was arrested and referred with the confiscated money to the concerned authorities for investigations on the source of the money and the reasons for smuggling it.

Kuwaiti arrested: A Kuwaiti citizen wanted for a series of criminal offenses was arrested and referred to the concerned authority after hitting some vehicles at a parking lot in Qurtoba area under infl uence of alcohol. Security operatives went to the scene upon receiving report about the incident, which indicated the culprit wasn’t aware of his action. He was referred for further investigation.
