Investigations On Loss Of Important Case Files From Court Records
Investigations carried out by the securitymen in the issue of the so-called ‘loss of important case files from court records’ show the involvement of 15 lawyers, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Further investigations resulted in the imprisonment of two sessions’ secretaries for 21 days at the Central Prison and more suspects are expected to enter the ‘fray’. According to sources well acquainted with the issue, explained that securitymen intensified their efforts at investigations immediately after complaints were filed with the Public Prosecution by both the President of the Supreme Court and the minister of Justice.
The investigations revealed 15 lawyers had transferred money into the account of employees of the Ministry of Justice, which means a new link has been established, which automatically make them suspects in the case, because they may have lured the employees with offers of money to hide the files.
In another case, the source said the Prosecution has decided to release three expatriate bailiffs on bail, who were charged with taking pictures of cases files without the consent of the court. The source added the judiciary is able to purge itself of some of the heinous mistakes that have been committed by a small number of employees.
