Interviews For New Applicants At Koc Lack The Principle Of Equality

The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) interviews for new applicants lacked the principle of equality between applicants because they were interviewed at different times, not at the same time, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed source.

The sources said the applicants were divided and were interviewed at different times starting at 8 am and then 9 am and so on, which led to leaking the questions. “The applicants who were tested first were asked the same questions as the next batch as result of the principle of equality was among applicants.

The sources pointed out the test model consisted of 100 questions distributed in more than one different model. However, the result of the first batch was low compared to those who were tested later because the test questions were leaked to them.

The sources added, the applicants who answered the test late got high grades. This was unacceptable, sources say, because all 300 applicants were supposed to be tested at the same time, but since the number was big, there was no room to accommodate everyone at the same time and had to be interviewed at different intervals.

The company should immediately cancel the results of this test and return it again because of the lack of the principle of equality between applicants, say sources quoting some of those affected. Meanwhile, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), headed by Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Jenan Bushehri, has acknowledged increasing the administrative and technical staff in the authority, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Informed housing sources told the daily the increase which is expected to happen soon is aimed at equalizing the number of counterparts in other ministries to support national cadres to manage the housing file in the country. On the other hand, sources said, there are only two weeks left for the citizens to apply for housing plots in the new project south of the Sabah Al-Ahmad city for the current fiscal 2018/2019.

The daily has learned from its sources that the number of citizens who have applied for a plot in the project has exceeded 13 thousand citizens until yesterday. However, the PAHW continues to receive requests until 21 of this month. The sources said PAHW is committed to the distribution of housing units to citizens, according to priority as provided for in accordance with the housing law.
