Intermediate Classes Begin – ‘wear School Uniform’
While primary schools bid farewell to the last week of the first semester, most secondary schools finished off-schedule exams, and the intermediate schools began classes on basic subjects (Science, Mathematics, Arabic and English) for their students starting from earlier this week for two hours every day, reports Al-Rai daily. The bulletins issued by schools stressed the need to wear school uniforms during the classes.
However, an educational source revealed that the ministry will not obligate students to wear school uniforms during the mid-year exams, but they must attend in clothes deemed appropriate to the nature of the school campus; for example, wearing shorts is forbidden.
He affirmed that the ministry will continue implementing the anti-cheating regulation in its all examination committees, by preventing the entry of all phones and smart devices in the committees including the devices used by observers and school administrations.
The source said the schools will this week distribute pamphlets to students to take into account some observations of the examination committees, most notably adherence to health requirements particularly wearing a mask and bringing a PCR test result for unvaccinated students. He highlighted that the Ministry of Education will strictly apply the anticheating procedures on violating students, and will not tolerate any malpractice attempt. Regarding maintenance, the source said, “As per their annual custom, the schools coordinate with the Engineering Affairs Department in their educational zones for the maintenance of the school facilities that need maintenance and follow up on their conditions in order to provide all means of comfort for the students during their exams.
There is no change in the mechanism of transportation of exam papers from the examination control center to the schools. Like every year, it will take place through about 200 cars provided by the ministry by direct purchase to move boxes of exam papers from the control center to the committees and then from the committees to the control center after the students hand over their answer sheets.”
