Inspection Campaign In Cafes And Arrested A Large No.of Expats For Violating Laws

Members of the Tripartite Committee formed by the Council of Ministers which includes personnel from the Kuwait Municipality in cooperation with the Interior Ministry organized a surprise inspection campaign in cafés in Fahaheel and arrested a large number of expatriates for violating residence and labor laws, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to reports some of these violators worked until late hours which extended past midnight. Most of the citations include for breaching the laws such as offering sheesha to teenagers. One of those arrested was a Kuwaiti woman for failing to pay debt and was referred to the concerned authority. All those arrested have been referred them to the relevant authorities for taking action against them and their sponsors.
