Indians Stranded In The Uae Advised To Return To India

The Indian Embassy in UAE tweeted an advisory, which stated that due to Covid-19-enforced restrictions on incoming passengers, it would not be possible for Indian nationals to transit via Dubai and Abu Dhabi to neighboring Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

All travelers, who are stranded in the UAE, are advised to consider their return to India and make further travel plans only after restrictions in the final destination countries are lifted, the advisory stated.

"It has been brought to our attention that several Indian nationals intending to travel to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have got stranded in UAE. Due to Covid related restrictions on incoming passengers, currently it is not possible for Indian national to transit via Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait", Embassy in UAE stated.

"All Indian nationals currently in the UAE en route to Saudi Arabia or Kuwait are advised to consider returning to India and to make their further travel plans only after the restrictions in the final destination countries are lifted," the advisory said.

It added: “They’re also advised to carry enough personal provisions and funds to cater to any emergency requirements.”

Large number of Indians on their way to Kuwait are currently stranded in Dubai as Kuwait ban entry of Non-Kuwaitis from February 7th.
