The Indian community is the largest in number among all other communities in the country, Al Qabas reported quoting government statistics. Indians comprise almost 27% of the total workers in Kuwait with more than 578,000 excluding their numbers in Domestic Labour forces.
While Indians constitute 22% of the total population in Kuwait they also comprise about 6% of the workforce in the government sector, with a total of 28,000 workers.
In addition, 549,000 work in the private sector, and they represent 32% of the total workforce.
In the domestic worker’s sector, Indians also top the list with 352,000 workers as they constitute 47.4% of the total workforce in the sector, with most of them males, with their numbers touching 71.9% of the workforce.
