Indian Arrested For Stealing Sponsor Watches Worth 600,000 Kd
Police have arrested an unidentified Indian for stealing five expensive watches from his sponsor believed to be worth KD 600,000, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the arrest came after the sponsor filed a complaint with the Al-Zour Police Station.
He also told police the chalet, from where the watches were stolen is fully secured with the CCTV cameras. When police checked the CCTV footage they saw the suspect with the box containing the watches, looking right and left in a suspicious manner and leaving with the box. He is seen returning after a few minutes and pretending as if nothing had happened.
The worker was confronted and during interrogation he admitted to committing the theft. He also showed the place where he had hidden the watches, which were then returned to the owner after he produced the purchase document. The Indian has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
