23 February 2022 Crime News

An additional episode of alleged legal violations and abuses has been reported to the Public Prosecution Office in the case of half a million dinars allegedly embezzled from a cooperative society's shareholders.

Al-Qabas has obtained the report of the Review the Business and Accounts Committee of this cooperative society, which shows that the accounting department has no records in addition to the presence of 7 kiosks rented without approval from the ministry, hinting at 150 thousand dinars in suspicious activities.

According to the report, one cooperative society has committed 60 violations of administrative and financial rules, while other documents reveal that cash received by one official and a member of the cooperative has not been deposited in its account.

A discrepancy was also noted in the disbursement of overtime allowances to some employees, as well as the replacement of eight employees without the ministry's approval.
