Thousands Of Expatriates Left The Country In The First 3 Months Of 2022
Because non-graduate foreign workers must continue to pay more than 800 dinars annually to renew their work permits, the labour market continues to suffer. According to a recent report released by the Public Authority for Manpower in collaboration with the Central Administration of Statistics, more than 4,000 foreign workers from this category left the country in the first quarter of this year.
The government research said that the loss affected all classes of workers in the 60 groups, including those with a high school diploma or less, even though their numbers stabilised at 65,000 resident workers up until last April.
Non-graduates who are employed must pay significant costs for the renewal of their work licences, residence permits, and health insurance. In terms of the industries that experienced a decline in the labour market, the report noted that the administrative and support services activities industry had the highest overall number of departures in the past three months, losing 1,423 workers. The construction industry came in second, losing 792 workers.

In addition to the 257 people who left the lodging and food services industry and the 103 others who left permanently after years of employment in the manufacturing sector, the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors also lost 739 workers.
According to the study, the sectors of "wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles witnessed an increase of 3,406 workers, followed by the professional, scientific and technical activities sector with 2016 workers" experienced the greatest growth in non-sixty workers. In addition to the operations related to waste management and treatment, water supply, and sanitation, the overall number of workers in the education sector increased by 1,499 as well. He stated that there was 412 more registered personnel in the mining and quarrying industry and 573 more in the human health and social work sectors.
The labour market will change in the first quarter of 2022.
There are 1.3 million private sector employees overall.
1423 people quit working in administrative services.
792 employees departed the construction industry
3,406 new hires were made in the automotive and wholesale commerce industries.
1499 personnel entered the educational field.
