In 2022, 30,000 Expatriates Were Deported
A total of 30,000 expatriates were deported by the Ministry of Interior during 2022, of which 660 were judicially deported and the rest were administratively deported. These deportations were primarily for drug abuse, fights, thefts, alcohol production, expired residency, and non-compliance with Kuwaiti laws. While some of them were in the interest of the public. Â
17,000 men were deported, while 13,000 women were. Majority of men deported were Indians (6,400), Bangladeshis (3,500) and Egyptians (3,000). While Majority women deported were Filipinos (3,000) Sri Lankans (2,600) Indians (1,700) and Ethiopians (1,400).
