Arabic local newspaper Aljarida reported that The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, instructed the Education Department in the General Traffic Department sector to develop the theoretical driving test for market licenses (private – general – construction – motorcycle), revealing that the new theoretical driving test system has begun to be implemented, as of The day after tomorrow, after the development process that included determining the type of theoretical driving test according to the required market license category.

Major General Al-Sayegh told that this step comes within the strategy of the General Traffic Department in developing the systems used, facilitating procedures and raising the level of traffic culture, indicating that the new test models focused on the general concepts of road users and moving away from purely legal questions.

He added that the new models for theoretical tests contain 10 questions related to traffic signs, 5 general information questions, and two questions related to traffic laws, in addition to a fundamental question if the laboratory does not have to be considered as failing, because it simulates the street reality, which means that the answer to it is one of the ABCs of culture. Traffic.

He explained that the new amendment to the theoretical question models allowed the laboratory the freedom to change the questions and their pattern, unlike what was previously applied, as there were 8 models for questions, some of which became far from the reality of modern methods currently witnessed in the country, as well as the vehicles, mechanisms and equipment that are used at the time.
