Identity Theft Involving 2 Arab Expats

01 September 2022 Kuwait
According to an Arab daily, two Arab expats were recognized and charged with forgery after using forged Civil IDs.
The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecutor's office after one of them presented an edited screenshot of a Kuwait mobile ID from Google and claimed it as his own, and the other forged the seals of a high-ranking official in the Ministry of Interior.

Previously, the daily paper stated on Monday that an expat was arrested for attempting to complete the entry visa deal for another expat, while another suspect finished the task, with the latter accepting full responsibility. The Residency Affairs Investigation officers were warned by a security source about the residency offender who was making the transactions. According to the report, the second suspect was arrested after completing an application for an entry visa using fake seals.
