‘gulf, Mideast Occupy Pivotal Position In Framework Of India’s Foreign Policy’
His Excellency Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Sibi George, met Abdulaziz Al-Anjeri, Founder & CEO of Reconnaissance Research, at the premises of Embassy of India in Kuwait. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Khan Suri, First Secretary, Smita Patel is the first secretary and Dr. Vinod Gaikwad First Secretary. During the interaction, His Excellency the Ambassador highlighted the extremely strong bilateral relations between India and Kuwait, significance of this year which is the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries, pointing out that the relations between the two countries are rooted in history.
His excellency expressed the keenness on both sides to elevate the partnership onto a much higher level and significantly widen and deepen the scope of bilateral cooperation in various domains and on matters of mutual interest. The Ambassador stated that the Embassy of India is working with various parties, whether public or private, to increase this convergence, saying: “The Gulf and Middle East region occupies a pivotal position in the framework of India’s foreign policy. We are an extended neighborhood of each other. Peace, security and stability in these countries is essential for the prosperity and economic development of India”, he continued: “We are keen to strengthen relations with various parties from the public and private sectors, including businessmen, investors and professionals, without losing sight of the importance of building relationships with academia and think tanks, hence our invitation to Reconnaissance Research, to transform this already close relationship into a New India-Kuwait dynamic partnership for the future, working with all the stakeholders to strengthen bilateral ties.”
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Anjari said: “Reconnaissance Research as an independent platform aims to involve India in its activities and events, and we will seek to enable the Indian Embassy to build more bridges of communication with various economic, academic and research sectors, and we can carry out greater cooperation in partnership with India if there is a desire and will. And I can clearly see after my meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador that he has all the capabilities and tools to do so.” Al-Anjari added: “Ambassador George joined the Indian diplomatic corps in 1993. He has a distinguished mix of relations and accumulated experiences, the result of thirty years of work in Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Egypt, Qatar, Pakistan, Iran and Washington, DC. We are pleased to meet with His Excellency the Ambassador and identify common interests with such a great man.”
