MP Riyadh Al-Adsani has submitted an interpellation request against the Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. He indicated that the interpellation could be discussed during the opening session I, the MPs were to initiate a motion while discussing the new order of business.
Meanwhile, the Speaker stressed that the Bedoun resolution bill is ready for discussion, but after several MPs advised against its quick passage. He indicated that the bill will be submitted after the opening ceremony in order to allow more time for the concerned committees to review and ensure the bill is as comprehensive as possible.
Al-Ghanim asserted that there is no going back with this bill, adding that, according to the planned course of action and sound implementation of the law, there will be no such thing as “Bedoun” in a few years’ time.
Furthermore, five bills related to cancellation of consumer loans and regulation of bank interests were approved by the Parliament’s Legal and Legislative Committee during its meeting on Sunday.
